Asahi Pentax Spotmatic F with SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4
This camera is in EXCELLENT to NEAR-MINT condition as can be seen from the photographs.   The meter and shutter work on all settings.  The leatherette is in like-new condition.  The battery compartment is corrosion free.  The battery cover is only very lightly marked and removes easily.   The self-timer works correctly. Unlike most Spotmatics of this vintage, there is no paint loss on the back, sides and front of the camera.  There are no dents anywhere on the camera.
	The base of the camera shows almost no wear with a light trails here and there  - cannot feel them with a fingernail. Base is DENT FREE. Only barely perceptible marks near strap lugs from strap - cannot be seen in photos.
The light meter works and compares favorably with my other Spotmatics and hand held meter.  Battery  included.  The interior of this camera is LIKE NEW with no dirt or marks.  Shutter curtain shows none of the normal shininess that comes from long use. The battery contact has been temporarily repaired.  The contact was corroded away.  It will probably last forever but if you are a perfectionist, a technician can probably fix it while you wait.   A copper wire has been substituted with a foil spacer. 	Camera is supplied with Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50mm f/1.4 normal lens.  It has smooth focusing with no looseness.   F-Stops work properly.  It is unblemished.
	The Spotmatic F provides open aperture metering with SMC Takumar lenses and others, and a hot shoe.   These advantages make this version of the legendary Spotmatic very worthy. This is a sparkling Spotmatic F.  With a modest reserve (the eBay selling price of of a beaten up, worn-out body and an abused lens) this camera could be part of a proud collection or a "Sunday Driver"  I'm not sure I even want to sell, it but will do so if the reserve is reached. Includes: body, 50mm f/1.4 Super-Multi-Coated Takumar, battery, original lens cap, original style leather strap.
