Zoom Action & Close-Up
The focus can be adjusted separately from the zooming action. Just turn the ring to focus, and the other ring to zoom.
Once focused, the zoom lens maintains the focus setting even while zooming. It is a good practice to focus at the maximum focal length, i.e. with the largest possible image, and then zoom back to the desired field of view. This ensures maximum focus accuracy.
