Batteries
I
purchased an extra Canon rechargeable battery and AA Lithium batteries as a
secondary back-up. Reviews of the camera claim up to 1500 images on a
pair of Canon batteries, I suspect I will be charging batteries "on
location" a lot less often... In practice I can get as many as
800 images with the two batteries. I tend to use "Live View" and
review my shots, and almost always use Image Stabilization when the camera
is not on the tripod. Both of these habits reduce battery life.
The lithium batteries have saved me a
couple times when my rechargeable batteries wore down and I had no way to
charge them in time to shoot. I highly recommend the
Battery Grip with AA Battery Clip for
just such an occasion!
