Really Right Stuff

I wanted to get a flash bracket that would last. I found the Really Right Stuff products to be very attractive, and robust. I bought the L-Bracket for my camera, along with the flash bracket and flash foot, the 80mm clamp, and a foot for my 70-200mm lens.

Arca Swiss Clamp and feet

I needed another clamp for my Tilt-All tripod, to use with my long lenses (300mm, 400mm, 500mm). I wanted something that matched the circular shape of the tripod mounting plate. I found this clamp. It comes with the adapter I needed to attach it to my tripod with the 1/4"-20 thread. I used some blue thread locker to make sure it doesn't fall off, but can still remove it if I need to. The SUNWAYFOTO DDY-64 comes with other screws to enable attaching the plate to ball heads and other tripod mounts, along with the two allen wrenches needed to do so.

It's less expensive than the Really Right Stuff products I have already, which is good because I wanted to save some money. It comes with the adapter to convert it from 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20. And it should work with my Really Right Stuff L-bracket and lens foot.

What may not work is these FOTOPRO lens feet on my Really Right Stuff quick-release clamping foot. I tried the lens plates and they do work with the Really Right Stuff Quick-Release clamp.

And they work just fine on the SUNWAYFOTO clamp here. The lens plates come with a screw that has a loop on them so that they can be installed and removed without tools. That's handy, though I snugged mine with a screwdriver just to make sure it didn't get loose on me!

Desmond DAC-01 50mm QR Clamp 3/8" w 1/4" Adapter Arca Compatible for Tripod Head

I added a small, inexpensive Desmond DAC-01 Quick Release plate to make it easy to clamp the top of the long lens support to the L-bracket on my camera.
